Summertime beauty...

We've got all kinds of things popping in our yard right now - so pretty! The Texas Star Hibiscus was an experiment, but seems to be doing well in it's current location by our driveway. The phlox are part of a batch of flowers that have been passed down through generations of women in my family and among family and friends for years. Mine don't look nearly as great as my mom's, but I'm thrilled to at least have some in my yard!

... I think that is so neat that your family passes down phlox... I love family ties like that. That's truly a unique tradition - and you've inherited the green thumb, too. I really love gardening and flowers... I wish I didn't have three dogs - I day dream all the time about what our back yard could be like if only... (o: Maybe one day...
