Hubby took the morning off so I could run errands by myself and go get a pedicure. What a good man I've got! :-)
I've been tagged by
Kim to tell you eight little known (or maybe not so little known) facts about myself....hmmm.
1) At one of the public relations offices in Addison in which I worked, a drunk driver plowed his car through our office lobby, taking out a wall, a computer credenza, a laptop, a printer and the lobby and bathroom next door.
2) As I've gotten older, I've learned the value of friends -- more and more each day. I have some long-time "forever" friends (since I was three years old) and some new friends that I've only met recently ... but they are all such an important part of my life.
3) I didn't drink coffee until I started my public relations career. Now? I'm addicted.
4) I started drinking hot tea when I was in middle school -- a weird habit for a kid, I know. My friends thought I was very strange...but I wanted to be like a special friend of my mom's who loved "tea and cookies". At one of the piano academies where I took lessons, the owner also served tea and cookies to some students before their lessons - and I was selected to participate in the ritual....I'm still addicted to that, too! Coffee in the morning! Tea during E's afternoon nap!
5) Since Kim mentioned bridesmaid dresses, I will add that I was in two weddings
in one day when I was in college -- a morning wedding and an afternoon wedding ... two dear high school friends. Both had forest green bridesmaid dresses ... each that were totally different.
6) Including those weddings mentioned above, I have been in almost 10 weddings in a variety of capacities. I have a rainbow of bridesmaid dresses (one of which I've worn again). E will have a lot to play "dress up" with -- forest green, peach, bright light green, navy blue and more!
7) Before I had E, I really wondered how I'd shift my hyper-active brain from "work mode" to "Mommy mode". God makes amazing provisions for us and provides exactly what we need. Now, I am blessed to be a stay at home Mom to a wonderful daughter and I get to do a little bit of freelance work on the side. It's great to be able to "do both".
8) Last fact, hummm, let's see....here's a good one. When I was a junior in college, a journalism reporting class I was taking "required" us to obtain an email address through the University of North Texas email system. I remember thinking..."email, what will I ever use that for? I don't need that!" Ha! Now, I check my email constantly throughout the day....and I'm blogging, no less!
Who to tag next? I'll go for
Britney,
Philip and
Christy, since I know they are faithful blog readers.
