We have been enjoying using our Resurrection Eggs to count down the days of Lent this year in preparation for Easter. We got a late start on these this year because I couldn't find the eggs after doing some reorganizing in the home office a few months ago (oops! I was so organized I couldn't find anything!). So we've been opening a few eggs each day in order to catch up.
Our church provided these for us last year at a really neat Lenten Workshop for kids, but I know you can buy similar sets at Christian bookstores and online. Although some of the concepts of the crucifixion and events leading up to Easter are a little over E's head, she's enjoying this process and learning just the same.
Coming up this week: coloring Easter eggs, Resurrection rolls and more! What fun!
