We are in recovery...

...from a week of vacation wonderful-ness!
Remember this? Yes, we made it!
Yes, it was wonderful!
And no, the oil was not too bad!
(More soon...as soon as I finish the laundry, and get groceries,
and get all of the sand out of the car, and...)

Rear view...

My dear bloggy friend R and I have something in common....

We love photos of our children from behind. Even better, photos of our children walking with our hubbys....from behind. So sweet!

I happened to have my camera with me the other day when we were running errands as a family. Super tall E pushes a shopping cart with such ease, she was thrilled to walk with Daddy in the grocery store where we stopped to get a few items.

How cute is this? It's just a snap of a sweet moment in time, but something sweet that I will forever hold in my heart.

Back in my day...

Kids toys sure have changed, haven't they!? E received a set of "girl" Leg*s for her birthday. She is having a blast building all kinds of things....and I still marvel that they make these little bricks in pink, lime green and teal! Fun!

One of my favorite things...

...finding my daughter on the couch, sweet stuffed kitty friend by her side, reading a pile of library books. Bliss!

End of school recap: getting crafty

I had fun helping the other class moms put together an end of the year party for the kids....but I was also charged with putting together the end of the year gift for the kids' amazing teacher. We gave the teacher a gift card to her favorite restaurant, as well as a gift card to her favorite craft store. But what to put the cards in? Something fun that would allow her to remember this year's class....here's what we came up with! Perfect for their green-thumbed, gardening loving teacher!

Three-year-old preschool graduation...

What a wonderful, exhausting, tear-filled day!
E loved this year, this class, this teacher and
these friends so much, she cried the whole way home.
She didn't want it to end!

End of school recap: beach week

E's preschool teacher is an amazing person. Creative, loving, nurturing and so very dedicated to the students. Each year, during the students' study of ocean life and water, she creates "beach week activites" for the children to enjoy during their outdoor recess time. This year, the kids enjoyed playing in wet sand, swimming, running through sprinklers, walking in cold Jello and blowing bubbles. Such fun!

End of school recap: field day

E's last day of three-year-old preschool is on Thursday. Where has the time gone? E has adored two mornings a week with her wonderful teacher Mrs. Holmes. I have loved seeing my little one grow and expand in so many ways. It is such a joy to watch her grow and learn! We have made many dear friends and appreciate our church school more and more each day. It's so wonderful for them to learn about Jesus each day at school!

E has a blast at her first-ever field day. The preschool-set event featured the ball toss (that was always my worst event!), the dash, the relay and the sack race. E liked the dash the best and said the sack race was "very hard but very fun!"

Enjoy these cute photos and this hilarious video. E stopped in the middle of the sack race because her teacher ran behind her to help a student who was having trouble. Too cute!

(Note - the sweet little girl in the last two photos with E shares E's first name. She is in four year old preschool and also goes to our church. E knows her from Sunday School class and music class, and they have become fast friends. I love the last photo of them admiring dandelions. So sweet!)
